Crisis lines come first, every time

When someone writes about danger, 911, 988 and the domestic violence hotline show before anything else, in English and Spanish.

When someone writes that they may be in danger, 911, 988 and the National Domestic Violence Hotline now show before any other words. This works in the box on the home page, the conversation, Ask about this and a signed-in account, in English and Spanish, including slang and misspellings.

Front Door now recognizes many more ways people say it, such as “no veo salida”, “kms” and “I took too many pills”. Questions about working or volunteering in the field, like “domestic violence shelter jobs”, no longer get the crisis lines.

When the words are less clear, a quick safety check runs before the answer shows. If that check is slow, the lines show anyway when the words carry any sign of risk.

Someone whose partner threatens them now gets the domestic violence hotline first. Every crisis card lists all three lines. Limit and error messages also name 911 and 988.
