One page to sign in or create an account

Signing in and creating an account now happen on one calm page, with Google or your email, and your account pages bring you back where you were.

Signing in used to be one button on a busy card, and opening your account while signed out showed an empty page. Now there is one sign-in page, and it comes to you.

  • /signin is one full-height page: “Sign in to Front Door”, Continue with Google, or your email address. “New here? Create an account” switches to “Create your account” on the same page, without loading a new one.
  • Google and email both go through WorkOS. Email opens the sign-in screen with your address already filled in.
  • Open your home, your inbox or any other account page while signed out, and that page shows the sign-in page. After you sign in, you land on the page you opened.
  • On a wide screen, the right side shows a painting by Claude Monet with an example of a home on Front Door in it. On a phone, you see only the form.
  • Agency and community group staff use the same page at /signin?for=work. The footer’s “Staff sign in” opens it.
  • Signing in from localcarehub.org, www.localcarehub.org or the Vercel address brings you back to the same address.
