Your pages in one column

Your home, each application, your vault and your inbox now read top to bottom in one clear column, on a phone or a computer.

Screenshot: Your pages in one column

Your home on Front Door used to put some things in a main column and others in boxes on the side. It was hard to tell what to look at first. Now every page in your account reads top to bottom, in one column, the same way on a phone and a computer.

  • Your home goes in this order: Do this next, Coming up, Your applications, Inbox, your Front Door email address, Your vault, then Texts. Each part has the same heading and a simple list under it.
  • Your Front Door email address is out in the open now, with a Copy button and one line on what it is for. Before, it was folded away.
  • When there is nothing to do, “Do this next” says so in one short line instead of a big empty box.
  • Each application shows where it stands and what happens next, then its tasks, the mail about it, what you shared, and its history.
  • Your vault and your inbox use the same column. A letter you pick opens above the list.
  • Lines stay a comfortable length on a big screen, and every button and link is easy to tap.

Also in this update:

  • The first line written for you. When you ask a question, a short line can show while we read it. The warmer line written for your words now takes its place when it is ready, without the page jumping.
  • Two needs in one question. “I’m pregnant and need help with food and a doctor” now finds help for both food and health care.
  • Urgent questions. A question about an eviction, a shutoff or no food today is always treated as urgent, so what you can get soonest comes first.
  • Faster first answers after a quiet spell. We keep the part that reads your question ready, so it does not start cold.
  • How it works on the front page now says what you see first: places near you, then your state’s programs, then federal programs.

Try it on the demo as Maria: demo.localcarehub.org. Or ask a question at localcarehub.org.
