Apply with the answers you already saved

Answer what is missing, review and sign, then send through the path each program supports.

Prepared for release. This change has not been deployed.

Choose Apply for me on a program page, an organization’s program list or Programs for me. Sign in once, then go straight to that program’s application. Other choices sit in More.

The application checks your vault first. Your vault holds your saved answers and documents. Your name, language and housing costs help fill the form without asking for the same answer under another name. Answers about another person stay separate from yours.

Answer only what is missing. Each question uses plain words and explains why the agency asks. Short answers, such as your phone number and phone type, share one screen. Your saved state fills in without asking again. If your mailing address is the same as home, say yes once and we fill in the address for you. A second phone number and other extra contact details come last, under “Anything else you want to add?” You can leave them blank.

Questions about each person use their first name, such as “How is Leo related to you?” Questions about you say “you”. If anyone’s name is missing, list who lives with you first. The phone-type question shows the number so you know which phone it means.

Questions used only for statistics come near the end, on one optional screen for each person. These include gender, race, ethnicity and tribe. They help the agency see who it serves and do not change your answer. Choose Skip to leave them blank. When a program uses one of these answers to decide who qualifies, it stays with the other application questions.

Personal questions come later, with a short reason and clear choices to skip or say “I’d rather not say”. Skipping does not save a yes or no answer. If an application requires an answer, it stays on the list for you to finish before review. Answers that help the most applications come first. Less common questions, such as annuities and long-term care, come last. For jobs, accounts and other lists, start with yes or no. Choose None to move on. If you choose yes, say how many and answer the questions for each one. Signing comes once, after review. There are no office fields to fill in.

“About N left” shows how much is left without jumping up when a new question appears. Each step moves you forward, and each answer saves before the next question. Save and exit keeps an answer you have typed. Return when you are ready. Add documents next, with examples of what counts as proof, then review every answer and sign.

When Front Door supports a program’s paper form and delivery channel, you approve the final letter and we send it. The signed form and a dated delivery record stay in your vault. Your application appears in My applications. A delivery provider accepting a letter does not mean the program has received it.

For online forms such as the Bridge Project’s Typeform, your answers sit beside the operator’s own form. Its form cannot be filled automatically here today. Copy your answers, review its questions and press its final send button yourself. Your vault record says whether you reported sending it. It does not claim the operator received it.

The application screen has no site header, sidebar or floating box. Until an organization agrees to partner, its name appears in plain text with Front Door. Its logo and colors only appear after an agreement, and the action color must be easy to read.

Some forms are only partly captured. Their counts cover the questions we know, and they say when the operator may ask more. Each program decides who qualifies. Front Door is an independent service.
