Pathways 1: tax credit years, files for DOR, and the right facts
See every year you can still claim Washington's Working Families Tax Credit, get photos and PDFs ready for DOR's upload, and find emergency and child care programs with their funding status.

Washington asked for applications that are complete the first time. These changes start with the Working Families Tax Credit, where DOR says delays come mostly from errors, and with the facts Front Door gives people.
- Which years can you still claim? Answer how you filed, how many children, about what you earned each year, and whether you have a Social Security number or an ITIN. Front Door shows every open tax year with DOR’s income limit, the most it pays and the last day. It leads with the one that matters now: tax year 2022 closes December 31, 2026. No number? It explains the ITIN, and a public charge question goes to free immigration legal help. Nothing you type is saved or sent. localcarehub.org/wftc
- Ask about it. In Washington’s conversation, a question about the credit gets the same years and limits from DOR’s tables.
- Files ready for DOR. DOR’s upload does not take iPhone HEIC photos or one-page PDFs over 1 MB. In your vault, and on any task from a DOR letter, Front Door turns photos into JPGs, makes big PDFs smaller and can split them into pages, on your own device. It shows the Letter ID from your letter and reminds you DOR also asks for your last name.
- More programs, with their funding. CEAP, AREN, the Diaper Related Payment, Disaster Cash Assistance, Seasonal Child Care, First Steps and Best Starts for Kids child care are in the catalog, with Child Care Aware and home visiting as people to call. Programs that run while their money lasts say so, and one that closed (Disaster Cash Assistance after October 30, 2026) leaves every list.
- Facts fixed. The repealed child care worker and apprentice paths are gone, the National Domestic Violence Hotline leads everywhere, and the tax credit’s own application, address and 2025 investment limit are right. Each fix names its official source.
