Clearer program cards in your plan
Each program says what it gives, what is next in plain words, and Continue when you already started.
The cards under “Your programs and saved items” are easier to read on a phone.
- What it gives. Each card has one short line under the program’s name, like “Monthly food benefits on an EBT card to help pay for groceries.”
- What is next, in words. Instead of “We can fill 3% of the questions,” a card says “You may qualify. About 8 questions to finish.” When we already hold a real share of your answers, it says so: “We already have 6 of your answers.” Cards never show a percentage.
- An honest count. A paper form can ask for your name on every page. We ask it once, so the card counts it once. Basic Food’s count fell from over 70 to the questions you will actually see.
- Continue where you left off. If you start an application and choose Save and leave, its card says Continue and shows the day you started and the questions left. A sent application says See status. Only a program you have not started says Apply for me. The bar at the bottom says Continue too.
- One card per benefit. Washington’s State Food Assistance Program (FAP) pays the same as Basic Food, for immigrants federal food rules leave out, on the same application. Your plan now shows Basic Food, or FAP when your answers point to it or you started it, not both.
