- **Texts only if you give a number.** When you make an account, the line about texts now sits right under the cell phone field, and it shows only after you type a number. Leave the field empty and the line under Create account only mentions our Terms and Privacy policy. Screen readers read the texts line with the phone field.
- **The right date on the Terms.** The Terms said they took effect on October 11, a day early. They now say October 10, 2026. If you agreed earlier today, your home page asks you once to read and agree again.
- **How we read your mail.** To read a fax, a photo of a letter, or a file attached to an email, an AI model reads the page first, numbers and all, over a connection that does not keep it or train on it. We mask Social Security, ID and account numbers before we save the words. The Privacy page and the Terms now say this, and the Privacy page no longer says the service that writes answers never sees these numbers. What it promises now is that the numbers saved in your vault never go to it.
- **Fewer saved ids.** Opening a friend's link no longer saves a device id in your browser. The feedback and partnership forms keep a random id for your browser for 2 hours at most, only to stop too many sends. The Privacy page names the two small cookies a shared link saves.
- **Plain words.** The Privacy page asks "If you save a Social Security number, how do you protect it?", explains that Jev is an AI tool from the company TypeSafe, and says Front Door is not a government website. The printed list of places, the For agencies page and the agency box on a state page now say the same. The page about sharing Front Door works the same in every state.
- **Open data.** Full access comes with a paid sponsorship plan, or is free if you give back, like sharing your own services data with us. Dates read "Data current as of" a day, and the Add your data form says "Connect to your API".
